We would like to thank you, our audience, for joining us on Youtube during this pandemic for online readings of new plays in progress LifeBlood by Erik Nikander and Perfect Fifths by Bret Bucci. We appreciate all the feedback and donations, and look forward to a time when live art on stage is safe again for our community. Please check back in the spring for announcements about our remaining Season 3 events. Until then, we wish you all a safe 2021.

After the unjust events of this year that have brought more people's attention to systemic racism, The Forge Theater Lab joins Fitchburg State University in recognizing that all lives cannot matter until Black and Brown lives matter. We must do better as a society to achieve true justice and safety for all of our citizens, and as artists we take a stand against racism, ignorance, hate, and brutality. In the coming months, as the theater world comes back to life, The Forge Theater Lab will examine what steps it can take to amplify Black and Brown voices and create an equitable, welcoming environment for artists of color at all levels of our organization.

Visit our Commitment to Antiracism page to follow our progress in becoming an antiracist theater company.

WRIGHT CLUB

Every Wednesday at 7:00

Wright Club is a judgment-free creative space that allows for unspoken accountability for playwrights looking to work in a quiet and nurturing virtual environment. The first rule of Wright Club is mute yourself when writing. Kidding. Well, kind of. Join in on the fun every Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

How to join on Google Meet:
https://meet.google.com/qhk-iqut-ngq

The setup:
1) We'll start with a 5-minute check-in to define individual goals for the writing time.
2) We'll then mute ourselves to share space for 45 minutes without comment while writing individually, yet simultaneously together.
3) We'll close with a brief check-out to touch base on everyone's progress.

There is no obligation or commitment necessary! Please feel free to join weekly if you're able; otherwise, drop-ins are more than welcome!

Co-facilitators: Mary Darling and Steven William Beck
